Last week was full of fashion scandals, with Rihanna’s CFDA dress on the lead and her new fragrance ad right after that. I completely don’t understand the second one.The photo is quite sexy indeed,
but I don’t think it’s sexy enough to be censored ;)
The ASA said: “While we did not consider the image to be overtly sexual, we considered that Rihanna’s pose, with her legs raised in the air, was provocative”
Hmmm…
Considering the fact that nowadays teenagers have unlimited access to eg. tumblr;
As you know I’m running another blog on this platform where I’m adding my inspirations and if you’ve never had a chance to use it – believe me – there are tons of blogs which are constantly adding strictly porn stuff and everyone can see that, there’s no restrictions!
Sometimes I check profiles of people who follow me, in search of some interesting ones to follow and it’s really disturbing what you can find on some of them ;p
So if anyone would like to protect the youngest part of our society from seeing what they shouldn’t see at this point of their life – believe me – this sensual photo of beautiful Riri shouldn’t concern you this much as it’s mostly the social media platforms you should be fighting with.
How about the loudest dress of CFDA?
“The point is to be audacious, even jaw-dropping or button-pushing – and yes, we know she enjoys pushing buttons – while remaining true to yourself.”
I think with these words Anna Wintour summed it up perfectly.
I agree, this dress was not the most modest one, but for me Rihanna was just having fun.
I would not wear the dress like that because I’m not bold enough. She is, and I love it about her as much as I love her style. Fashion for her is nothing but fun and I’m more than sure she wouldn’t get The CFDA’s award if she was not so loud and transparent with her crazy ideas.
